RetinaCapture runs completely offline and we do not see any of the screenshots users capture. RetinaCapture only captures areas of the screen chosen by the user such as a given screen, window, or selected region. Any screenshots taken by users get saved directly to the computer's local storage via the standard Save As panel.
We use App Center to collect anonymous crash reports to make the app more stable. The data is not shared with any third parties.
RetinaCapture requires Screen Recording permissions, which are necessary for a Mac app to take screenshots of other apps on the system. We do not share or retain the user's screenshots, and it's up to the user to save them to a file locally on their Mac. Screenshots are not sent to any servers or shared with third-parties. Once the app exits, any screenshots that have not yet been saved by the user are permanently inaccessible.
